CO-EDITORSHIP OF GOVERNANCE
Governance seeks a successor to Bert A. Rockman (Ohio State University) as
co-editor. The search committee consists of
Colin Campbell (University of British
Columbia) — chair, Tom Christensen
(University of
Oslo), Harvey B. Feigenbaum (George Washington
University) and Jenny Lewis
(University of
Melbourne).
The co-editor will work in cooperation with Graham K. Wilson (University of Wisconsin—Madison). The publisher provides $20,000 toward editorial staff for the two offices
combined. The committee expects that prospective editors will be able to draw upon additional resources at their institutions as
required. The term would be three years.
Interested parties should contact one of the search committee members by February 28. They should indicate in detail the
following: their vision of what they could accomplish for the journal as editor over their term of
office, the benefits—especially with regard to their aspirations—that would accrue from their university serving as a base for
Governance, and the resources that their institution would commit in support of the
co-editorship.
Those considering applying for the co-editorship should know that Governance ranked in 2002
ISI Journal Citation Reports as first among 24 journals in the field of public
administration. The committee will be interested in how prospective co-editors would not only help the journal sustain this level of performance but contribute to consolidating its leadership in the fields of public policy, administration and
institutions.
