CHANGES IN THE SOG EXECUTIVE BOARD

Per Laegreid, University of Bergen, and Mark Considine, Melbourne University, have agreed to serve as Co-Secretary Treasurers of  SOG. They replace John Halligan in this office. John Halligan is owed a debt of gratitude by all SOG members for the excellent job he did during his term of service.

We also welcome the two members of the SOG Executive Board elected at the Quebec City meeting - Gillian Peele, Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford and Bo Rothstein, University of Gothenburg. They add new strength and vitality to the Board.

Ulrich Kloti decided not to seek re-election as Board Co-Chair, but agreed to stay on as a Board member, a decision warmly welcomed. Ulrich has been a mainstay of SOG over the years and an outstanding leader. The entire membership salutes him for his superb work.

Graham Wilson has also stepped down from the Board. He has been one of the most active and important members of our group. Indeed, much of the success of SOG is due to his efforts. Fortunately we will have the continued benefit of his wise counsel as Governance Co-Editor.
